What is going on with the market?
In Northern Virginia and DC area, there is still an active real estate market. In spite of COVID-19, there are still buyers out there looking to move and sellers putting their homes for sale. Real estate agents are considered an essential business, so we along with lenders, inspectors, appraisers, and settlement attorneys are working under new and ever changing protocols.
What does this mean for buyers?
To tour a home, you need an agent. Open Houses are suspended to adhere to social distancing requirements. The only way to access a home is through a licensed real estate agent. Ana and Melissa are doing just that to give potential buyers the chance to tour a home. To safeguard against infection, we are providing our clients gloves and hand sanitizers before they tour a property. We are also offering our clients live videography of the home, if they choose NOT to tour the home in person.
What does this mean for sellers?
Inventory is lower than ever before, but serious buyers are still out there. Ana and Melissa are listing properties with professional photography, videos and floor plans to make the search easier for buyers who are relying heavily on virtual home searches. Also, all our sellers are taking the recommendations to stage as an essential marketing tool. And in some cases, buyers are purchasing properties without setting foot in a property.
What is the Ana and Melissa Team commitment to their clients under these unprecedented times?
To all our sellers, we will provide, as part of our fee , staging services that include furniture arrangement, added touches from our warehouse staging inventory or staging services from scratch for vacant properties. To all our buyers, we will provide a buyer credit to assist in closing costs.
